Electromechanical Assembly Technician


? Location: Saint-Laurent, Quebec
? Schedule: 40 hours per week – flexible, to be discussed
? Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience

Are you comfortable with electronics, precision assembly, and RF measurement equipment?

We are looking for an Electromechanical Assembly Technician for an engineering company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of precision microwave measurement systems.

You will work in a stimulating technical environment where you will directly participate in the assembly, testing, modifications, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.

Your Role

As an Electromechanical Assembly Technician, you will be required to work on various electromechanical products and subsystems, both in production and on certain prototypes.

Your Main Responsibilities


• Perform assembly and testing of RF components and systems in a production environment
• Assemble, modify, and troubleshoot simple and complex electromechanical systems
• Perform soldering and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs)
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical plans
• Use various RF measurement equipment, including:
  • Spectrum analyzers
  • Network analyzers
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Wattmeters
  • Signal generators
  • Digital multimeters (DMM)
  • Power supplies
    • Document the assembly and testing of prototype electromechanical subsystems
    • Use common power tools such as drills, Dremel, and sanders
    • Perform, as needed, the retrieval or delivery of parts from external suppliers
    • Collaborate with members of the engineering and production team

Desired Profile


DEC in electronics technology or industrial electronics, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong skills in soldering and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs)
• Good ability to read electrical and mechanical plans
• Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment
• Good analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Good proficiency in computer tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills
Bilingualism in French/English
