Superintendent

We are currently looking for a superintendent to join our team! Under the supervision of the general manager, the superintendent ensures the smooth running and daily monitoring of the construction site. He or she is responsible for the mobilization, commissioning, and demobilization of the construction site. Depending on the scope of the project, he or she may be assisted by a foreman.

Main Duties:
- Communicate the site organization plan to stakeholders
- Coordinate daily work and manage disputes
- Identify and resolve non-compliant work
- Plan the short-term entry of specialized contractors onto the site
- Complete the 3-week schedule and forward it to the project coordinator
- Participate in inspections
- Hold site reception meetings
- Complete and forward contract amendments
- Follow up on deficiencies during the work acceptance period.
- All other related tasks

Required Skills:

• Hold a journeyman carpenter competency card ;
• Relevant experience in the construction industry;
• Relevant experience in personnel management (an asset);
• Initiative, leadership, and communication skills;
• Experience reading plans and specifications;
• Good stress management skills given the often tight deadlines.

• Day Shift
